Our Stories
Hello, we are Bill and Joetta Stupfell, recently made empty nesters by the wedding of our two children in January of '07 and March of '08. Our nest, a home my grandfather built in 1913, is east of Council Bluffs about 10 miles where we operate a grain farm with our son Perry and daughter in-law Kelsey.
Joetta and I have known each other since kindergarten and dated in high school where we attended our local community school in Treynor, Iowa. We were married after graduating from college and started farming with my parents on the family farm in 1977. We came to Harvest Community Church in 1997 and have found many blessing here. The reformed faith is gently and firmly taught. Reminders of what God requires let the gospel have its sweetest effect. The worship, the fellowship, the prayer and the variety of ministries all remind us “Not to us Oh Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory forever, amen.”
