Our Stories

I moved to Omaha in 2003 when my company moved here from Lincoln. I was looking for a caring church that was active in its community, and I found both in Harvest. At Harvest, people have loved me through my struggles to live the Christian life, and they have accepted me while at the same time encouraging me to become more like Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. At the same time, there have been opportunities for me to share Christ’s love with others.
I have especially profited from the preaching of Pastor Mallory and the strong, yet humble leadership of the elders in the Session. And I am thankful that we at Harvest want to love those who are different from us – from different life situations, different economic situations, different races, and different cultures. All are welcome at Harvest. I have been especially blessed to minister cross-culturally in English as a Second Language classes and among the Hispanic community, and have been encouraged to use my gifts in this way. I am so grateful to the Lord for directing me to Harvest.
