Our Stories

Rachael

We are a military family who moved to Omaha in 1999.  We had a wonderful church community overseas and missed that sense of community very much.  However, we are also deeply committed to the Reformed faith, and believe that preaching is the most essential element of the service.  Hence, we were looking for a church that would feed us “meat and potatoes” and not just “peanut butter and jelly”.

When Pastor Mallory came in the summer of 2002, we heard that his preaching was what we were looking for.  We visited the end of August and immediately we knew that our prayers were answered!  We were so hungry that each worship service filled us and created a renewed hunger for more. In a way, that first month or two made us feel as if we had been born again, again! We are so thankful that God creates hunger, and then fills that hungry soul with good things!
