Our Leadership

Harvest is “Presbyterian” in government, that is, we are ruled by elders who are chosen by the congregation.  Within the office of elders there
are teaching elders (TE’s, i.e., Pastors) and ruling elders (RE’s).  The elders of the church make up the Session and are given the responsibility of overseeing and shepherding Christ’s flock.  Presbyteries oversee local churches.  The Presbytery is a regional assembly of elder delegates from each local church given the responsibility of oversight.

The General Assembly, which meets once a year and oversees the entire denomination.  church.  Each local church sends delegates to the yearly meeting of the General Assembly.  If you would like to read more about our government click here: Book of Church Order
The deacons, under the oversight of the Session, are responsible for the ministry of mercy/justice and stewardship.

Tim HollidayTim Holliday, Deacon

Tim Holliday was raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan with two sisters and two brothers.  He joined the Navy in 1985 and during a young adult retreat in 1988, accepted Jesus as his Savior.  He has grown in knowledge and understanding of the Lord over the years; personal study and good teaching in many PCA churches were vital as the Navy moved him from duty station to duty station.  He retired from the Navy in 2005 and settled in the Omaha area with his wife, Kristy, and their five children.  A strong belief and commitment to service, mercy, teaching, evangelism and missions are important to Tim.  He is active in Hispanic ministries, ESL and led the recent short-term mission trip to the US/Mexico border.

Harold Isenberger, Deacon

I became a Christian at age 5 at a neighborhood Child Evangelism Fellowship Bible Study. The Bible Study was on Moses at the Red Sea and God’s deliverance of the Children of Israel. I was raised in a Covenant Family and our whole life revolved around the church and church activities. I particularly remember Summer Bible Camp and the impact that had on my life. In 1997 God using Union Pacific Railroad, brought us to Omaha from Denver. In Denver we worshipped in one of the mega churches but were unwilling to join because of doctrinal differences; so it was with great joy that we found Harvest and knew that we could support all of its efforts wholeheartedly. I became church treasurer about 2001 and was ordained as a Deacon in the first class of 2004. The works of Justice and Mercy are particularly gratifying in my work as a Deacon. Leading in Worship is also a great joy to me.

Alan MalloryAlan Mallory, Pastor/Teacher

Jim RichardsJim Richards, Elder

Jim Richards grew up in central Nebraska in a covenant home.  He was baptized and confirmed at Hope Reformed Church. He graduated from Dordt College (a Christian Reformed College) and the University of Colorado.  He married Julie Birky in 1985 and has 4 children. He started attending Harvest in 1996 and became a ruling elder in 2001.   He leads the Harvest To the Nations (HTN) team.  This team focuses on short-term missionary trips and encouraging full-time missionaries.  He interested in missions work both locally and internationally.  Jim attempts to spend time in international missions ever year.  He is working with an International Presbyterian Church plant in Romania.

Bill StupfellBill Stupfell, Elder

Bill Stupfell was raised by Christian parents with his two sisters on a farm east of Council Bluffs where he now lives and farms.  He received an Ag/business degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 1977.  He trusted Christ and studied the bible with a campus ministry during his years at college.  Following college he returned home to farm, married his high school sweet heart, and kindergarten class mate (same person) Joetta.  They have two grown children.

His years of bible study have led him to embrace the creeds and confessions that God has taught the church through the centuries and is held to here at Harvest Community Church also.  Worship, every man’s highest calling, teaching, training and testing leaders so that they might equip and build up the whole body are all important to Bill.
